OurHalifax.com is a blog about… our city of Halifax. From my perspective.

My name is Igor Geshelin and I have lived in Halifax since 1995, originally moving here with my family from Odessa, Ukraine. I am a big fan of this city, and having done some traveling I can confidently say that every time I return to Halifax, I am glad that I live here.

As far as my perspective – I am a mortgage broker, and I very much love what I do. Being part of Atlantic Canada’s top producing mortgage team allows me to help our clients realize their dreams of home ownership, investment and financial comfort. As a result, a number of posts will be based on real estate and mortgage information, but I promise not to drone on about boring stats.

Secondly, I love food, eating out and the occasional beer – Halifax has many restaurants, pubs and bars which I will gladly talk about on a regular basis.

Whenever I wanted to find out what was happening in Halifax and be entertained in the process, Live at 5 was not cutting it for me. So I figured I would do it myself, and see if other people like listening to me talk as much as I do. Enjoy!
